What You Are Into These Days

Right now you are learning something new almost every day! We love to watch you learn how everything works and feels! You are learning how to make us laugh now. When we laugh at you, you have learned to keep doing whatever it is you are doing to keep us laughing!

You taught yourself to gargle. When I feed you your bottle, you will keep some milk in you mouth and gargle it. I start laughing at you and you keep gargling to make me laugh. You love the attention of us laughing at you!

Now when you think something is funny you smile and stick your tongue out! It cracks us up. You love it right now!

Your Grandma Law bought you Sophie la Giraffe and you love her. You push her whole face in you mouth and chew on it. You get a little frustrated sometimes because you want to suck on her face but you can't figure out how. Sophie is really helping you with you hand and eye coordination! You grab her and stick her right in your mouth, but that is everything you get your hands on.

4 Months Old

At four months old you already have an independent "let me do it" kind of attitude about you! You love to stand up and not sit down. We always joke that you're never going to crawl because you're just going to talk off walking. You hate being held like a baby so now we stand you up on our laps and you're just fine!

The doctor said you must be teething! He said just because they aren't cutting through the gums doesn't mean you can't feel them. You are constantly drooling! We have to carry around a rag to wipe all of the drool off your face. When we don't, your drool soaks your shirt all the way to your belly button.

You are smiling constantly now. I can just look at you and you smile. Everyone always comments on how fun it is to watch you interact with me. You love your momma and that's fine by me because I love you to pieces!

You're not a big fan of being in the car seat but I don't blame you. You are a little hot pocket and sweat so bad in that thing! When we take you out of it your hairs on the back of your head are soaked and curly. We feel so bad for you!

Bathtime is starting to become more and more fun for you! You love it but only if mommy and daddy are both in there! If one of us isn't you throw a huge fit and scream your lights out. But now you laugh when your dad pours the water on your head!

When you get the hiccups they seem to last forever. They are so deep and you get so frustrated when they won't go away. You pout and kick your legs. I just squeeze you tight and pat your back to try and help them pass.

You are a little talker! You crack us up because you jibber jabber non-stop! When we are riding in the car you just hold one note as long as you can. We always laugh and say you are singing but either way it cracks us up to hear you back there! Most of the time you fall asleep pretty quickly after you've sung your heart out!

Your First Mother's Day

Your first Mother's Day was just like any orindary day for you but for me it was such a rewarding day. The Saturday before Mother's Day we went to dinner at McBride's Steakhouse with Charlie and Susie (dad's grandparents), and Grandma and Grandpa.

On Sunday (Mother's Day) we went to cheddars to eat with Gamma, Auntie A and Uncle B.

For my first Mother's Day I got a hair cut, $50 gift certificate to the nail salon and a $25 gift card to target!

Trust me there is nothing I love more than being your mother. I do my best every day to make you laugh, to make you feel safe, and to keep you happy. I try my hardest to be the best mom I can possibly be. I am your consoler, your rock, the person you count on, and your protector. I'm telling you I have the best job in the world! You are so funny, so beautiful, so kind-hearted, so innocent, and I just want to spend every minute I can with you, because I know I will never get that minute back. We have many mothers days to come (God willing), and I cannot wait!
