Grandma Law

Your grandma loves you. The more and more you hang out with her the more and more you are starting to recognize her. She takes on the care-taker roll. She loves to help out any way she can. In my most trying times of becoming a new mother she helped me when I felt like I needed it most. Anyone who knows me knows I am very stubborn. I would never surrender and admit I needed help with anything. Your grandma has such a special way about her. She has known me so long she can read me like an open book. I do not have to say a word and she knows what I am feeling. She knows just when to step in and say, "Lexi, take a nap. I have this under control."

If I had to describe your grandma in one word it would be : Helper
She loves to help. She loves to just be involved whether it be time for you to eat or you need a new diaper she is already on top of it. It is a nice breath of fresh air when we visit her because I just hand you off and can just relax. Your grandma never had a little girl so she has so much fun shopping for you. I can see her begging to come with us to buy all your prom dresses and do all of the "girlie" stuff. I can see many trips to Macy's in your future!

Your grandma is the decision maker. Where there are loose ends; she ties them. When there is a problem; she fixes it. Without her, your dad would so be lost. She is his backbone. She holds every answer to all his questions. He is a "Momma's Boy" for sure. He is her EVERYTHING. They talk every single day. Their relationship is so close. Most mothers wish they had a relationship like theirs.

You have already learned how to work your grandma to get what you want. You just stick out that bottom lip and pout and she becomes putty. I can see the days when you have her hand dragging her through the stores saying, "C'mon Grandma, I have to show you something!"

Every time we send your grandma a picture of you she prints it out and has it in a frame that day. Your dad and I get so tickled when we go over to their house and see a picture we sent to her 15 hours before. I can tell your pictures are going to be all over that house. Luckily your a beautiful baby that everyone wants to look at. I cannot wait to watch and see how y'all's relationship grows. I know one thing is for sure; she will spend every minute with you that she can get her hands on.
